Vrsar is an ancient Mediterranean village with a strong Italian influence combined with Croatian traditions. It sits between Porec and Rovinj and has about 2000 inhabitants who are making their living on fishing, farming and tourism. The pristine beaches, 13 little islands scattered in front of its beaches and pine-clad surroundings guarantee a fascinating place to visit. The very first in the crowd was Giacomo Casanova, who spent two nights in Vrsar, (it is an officially recorded fact) of which he reported in his Memoars. The trips not to be overlooked: - Venice with the catamaran (two driving hours) - Lim Fjord and Briuni Archipelago (two driving hours with a fisher boat) - Rovinj- the Unesco town (32 km away)- bike and hiking routes into the inland.
